Book with Amanda
Amanda Carnes is an experienced physiotherapist with a passion for helping people return to the activities they love. She holds a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta and brings over 14 years of experience in private practice, hospital, and outpatient rehabilitation settings.

Amanda has extensive experience treating sports injuries, orthopaedic conditions, motor vehicle accident injuries, as well as vestibular and concussion-related conditions. She uses an evidence-based approach that combines hands-on therapy, movement retraining, and individualized exercise programs to support long-term recovery. Amanda has also completed additional training in the McKenzie Method, pelvic floor rehabilitation, and IMS (Intramuscular Stimulation).

She is enthusiastic about patient education and enjoys teaching rehabilitation classes such as GLA:D programs for back, hip, and knee conditions, as well as Pilates-based exercise programs. Amanda believes that education and collaboration are key to successful rehabilitation and works closely with each patient to help them feel confident, supported, and empowered throughout their recovery journey.

Outside the clinic, Amanda enjoys life in Cochrane with her husband, their three daughters, and their bernedoodle. She is also a passionate acrylic painter who loves creating vibrant, pop-culture-inspired artwork. Some of her pieces can be found hanging in local Cochrane shops, including We Do Geek and Rebel Comics.
