Jennifer Bogaart

Physiotherapist

Book with Jennifer
Jennifer brings more than 20 years of physiotherapy experience working with a wide range of treatment approaches, and patient populations to support her patients’ recovery and overall wellbeing.

After graduating from the University of Guelph with a BSc Human Kinetics she went on to broaden her expertise with a BSc Physical Therapy from the University of Western Ontario. She began her career in the Ontario hospital system, helping patients rehabilitate after significant health issues. Since moving to Calgary in 2000, she has been working in private practice settings.

Jennifer has taken vestibular rehabilitation courses, enabling her to work effectively with patients suffering from dizziness, vertigo and balance issues. She has incorporated manual therapy into her treatment approach for more than 20 years after earning her Level 3 Orthopedic Manual Therapy certification. Combined with her training in spinal manipulation, her comprehensive manual therapy education provides her with the expertise to help patients restore normal spinal and peripheral joint mobility.

Jennifer has been certified to treat patients with Gunn IMS (dry needling) for the treatment of myofascial pain syndromes for over 15 years. Jennifer is trained in GLA:D, an evidence-based exercise and education program designed for individuals with knee and hip osteoarthritis. She also holds a Level 2 BoneFit certification from Osteoporosis Canada, allowing her to provide specialized exercise guidance and education for individuals living with osteoporosis. In Jennifer’s experience, the key to successful recovery comes from a collaborative approach between therapist and patient, combining appropriate treatment techniques developed through training and experience with an individualized exercise program and a clear understanding of the condition. This approach helps patients take an active role in their recovery and long-term health maintenance.
